Highway-54 motorists who use the Grand Glaize bridges in Osage Beach and the Niangua Bridge west of Camdenton are likely to be impacted by lane closures and delays for at least the next few weeks while a contractor for MoDOT applies a protective coating to the substructure of the bridges.
Work on the Glaize bridges is scheduled to begin Monday with expected daytime closures (6 .a.m. to 7 p.m.) of the eastbound and westbound ramps from 54 to the Parkway, and possible single-lane closures of 54 during the nighttime hours (7 p.m. to 6 a.m.). That part of the overall project should be finished by the 16th with work then shifting to the Niangua Arm Bridge from the 18th through the 29th.
During that part of the work, the shoulder will be closed and the driving lanes narrowed during the daytime hours and possible single-lane closures during the nighttime hours.
All of the work is weather-permitting and signage will be in place. MoDOT encourages motorists to call 888-ASK-MODOT or visit the Traveler Information Map for more information or traffic updates.
