The Camdenton man charged with two class-A felonies in connection to the pursuit-related death of an Osage Beach police officer was scheduled to be in court on Wednesday.

It’s alleged that Christopher Wehmeyer led officers on the August 31st early-morning pursuit which started along highway-54 near Passover road before exiting onto Y-Road in Linn Creek and continuing onto Midway Road before ending on A-Road near Richland where the pursuit came to a end when he crashed his own vehicle.

During the pursuit, Officer Phylicia Carson was in the secondary patrol car and ran off the road hitting a tree before the car caught on fire…she was pronounced on the scene.

Wehmeyer is charged with aggravated fleeing resulting in death and second-degree murder for fleeing during a felony resulting in a death.

Wednesday’s court date was for a trial setting with an apparent motion for a change of venue still to be decided.

Wehmeyer remains free on a $100,000 bond with several special bond conditions.
