Waynesville Man Charged With Firearm Possession

A 25-year-old Waynesville man is being charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.

It’s alleged that Walter Speelman, who was convicted of a 2018 felony tampering charge, was in possession of a handgun in early December of last year.

Speelman was arraigned last week and entered a not guilty plea on the weapons charge.

His next court date is set for March 20th.
