So the Chiefs are in the Super Bowl…with the big game to be played on Sunday also comes some friendly advice from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Region-7 of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The N-H-T-S-A is teaming up with local law enforcement in the five-state region warning that, if you go to a Super Bowl gathering and consume alcohol, it would be a good wager for you to have a designated driver to get you home safely.
The campaign is being dubbed as “Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk” with the goal of keeping you from an up-close-and-personal” meeting with the law.
In 2020 alone, nationwide, there more than 11,600 people killed in drunk driving crashes.
The N-H-T-S-A also sends out the warning to those planning to host a Super Bowl gathering to help enforce the idea of designated drivers and to have plenty of snacks and non-alcoholic beverages also available to your guests.
