Sunrise Beach Fire District Says Resignations At City Hall Will Not Affect Service

The Sunrise Beach Fire District is taking to social media to assure its patrons that recent reports of multiple resignations within the Village of Sunrise Beach has no effect on fire district operations.

Chief Joe Laplant explains that the fire district is a “creature” of the state governed by state laws and serves as a stand-alone entity independent of operations within the village.

Further, Chief Laplant says the fire district is governed by its own five-member elected board of directors and continues to operate without any interruptions and, if there are any questions about the district, you can call the business office during normal hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00-am to 4:00-pm
