Students in the 6th through 8th grades wanting to learn more about law enforcement are invited to be a part of this year’s Junior Police Academy being put on by the Camden County Sheriff’s Office.
Sergeant Scott Hines says that the weeklong academy will cover a little bit of everything including crime scene investigations, radio communications, defensive tactics and other activities.
Space is limited for the academy and students applying to be part of it need to also include a short essay about why they want to attend the academy which is set for July 24th-28th.
Applications are available on the Camden County Sheriff’s Office website and need to be turned in by June 26th.
