Student Brings BB Gun To School Of The Osage

Officials from School of the Osage report an incident, on Tuesday, which caused a few anxious moments involving a student at the middle school bringing a BB gun to school.

In an email sent out to district parents, Principal Brian Dickerson says the look-alike weapon was confiscated by school staff and the School Resource Officer was immediately notified and assisted in the investigation.

As for the student, it’s not immediately known what happened to him or her but the district does say policy is clear…non-personal items such as toys, electronic devices, weapons and look-alike weapons or explosives not needed for schoolwork are prohibited from being brought to school.
