Strong Storms In Lebanon Knock Out Power – 911 Center On Thursday

A few severe thunderstorms hitting the Lake Region on Thursday, one of which caused troubles for the city of Lebanon.

According to a post on Facebook, the storms caused issues with the electric grid after a few wires fell down during the heavy rains and high winds.

That knocked out over 500 customers and caused issues with the Lebanon Police Department, where 911 was down due to the loss of internet.

Service has since been restored to the 911 center as cleanup of the powerlines, downed trees and debris is now over.

Officials are asking residents in the future with issues like this…to contact the Police Department directly using the non-emergency line if they have an issue, which is area code 417-991-3812.
