Royals Sweep Cardinals In I-70 Games – Mizzou Pickups Another Allstar Recruit

It was all Kansas City in a day-night doubleheader from St. Louis.

Royals winning Game 1 6-4 behind Alec Marsh.

They take down the Cardinals in Game 2 as well….8-5, the final.

Michael Wacca returns to Bush Stadium and picks up the win.

James McArthur, he gets the save in both Game 1 and in Game 2.

For Marsh, he was terrific winning the early outing.

Six innings, eight strikeouts, even while allowing a couple of home runs.

Salvador Perez, he goes deep for his 16th home run of the year in the nightcap.

The two wins gets the Royals back to eight games above the 500 mark.

The Cardinals are now 48-44, birds off today.

They will welcome the Cubs to town on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Royals, they’ll be in Boston.
