A man is facing numerous charges following a report of an active shooter situation at the Sinks Pharmacy in Rolla.
Chief Sean Fagan says officers arrived on Wednesday to the business on East 10th Street, after a call about a man who had a rifle, shot an employee and stole a number of narcotics.
That man turned out to be 41-year-old Justin Wonsewitz, who apparently fled the scene in a black car, taking officers on a high-speed chase through town.
Eventually Wonsewitz was stopped by force and taken into custody.
The unnamed 52-year-old victim who had been shot at the pharmacy was transported by ambulance to Phelps Health, for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Wonsewitz faces charges of 1st-degree assault, 1st Degree robbery, and armed criminal action.
He’s being held in the Phelps County Jail pending formal charges.
