Some long awaited roadway improvements could be just around the corner in Lake Ozark.
Administrator Harrison Fry says the city is setting into motion a planned maintenance program to do various improvements to some 30 different roadways.
“We’ve kind of tried to tackle maintenance issues in a case by case when they arise basis thankful to a grant we received from the federal government last year that’s allowed this to happen.”
Speaking on the KRMS Morning Magazine, Fry also said that a committee formed last summer gets a lot of credit for coming up with priorities for the program.
“They tried to prioritize roads based on traffic, current condition, possible impact of the city. And they also looked at our city financials to see what, in their opinion, we would have capacity to deliver on.”
It’s expected that contractors will start doing their parts for the improvements sometime in early April. City officials are hoping to get at least ten years out of those planned improvements.
