Reaction was far and wide across Missouri on Tuesday with both sides of the Amendment-3 issue chiming in after the Missouri Supreme Court ruled that the issue will remain on the November General ballot.
The proposal, if approved by voters, would effectively enshrine abortion rights in the state constitution and widely undo the near-total abortion ban approved just two years ago.
Abortion rights advocates have been pushing to have voters decide the issue since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022 leading to the immediate abortion ban in Missouri.
Eight other states are also considering constitutional amendments to enshrine abortion rights.
