Osage Nation Donates $55,000 Towards Programs & Organizations In The Lake Area

More donations are on the way from the Osage Nation for the Lake Area.

Officials in this round donating $55,000 towards eight different programs or organizations that have a direct impact on the surrounding region.

That includes the School of the Osage Foundation, the Miller County Sheriff’s office, The Camden County AG and Youth Enrichment program, Lake Area Diaper Bank the “Changing Table,” Citizens against Domestic Violence, The Heroes Outreach, VFW Post 6513 and the American Legion Post 229.

In total, the Osage Nation has so far donated upwards of $400,000 in the lake community.

The Nation is also helping to produce a nationally-recognized ballet that’s happening on July 12th through the 13th at School of the Osage, which they’re helping to collect donations for Wonderland Camp.

Lake of the Ozarks – When Osage Nation announced its plans to bring a new entertainment center to the Lake of the Ozarks, it made a commitment to support the local community as it has in every community in which it has a presence. In its latest round of contributions, Osage Nation today announced it is delivering $55,000 to eight local organizations that serve the Lake of the Ozarks community, bringing its total contributions to the area to nearly $400,000.

“We are absolutely dedicated to all local communities in which we have a presence and will continue to support the Lake of the Ozarks area by giving back to organizations that serve the community. The eight organizations receiving these contributions offer vital assistance to the local community and we are proud to stand with them and help them achieve their missions,” said Geoffrey Standing Bear, Osage Nation Chief.

“We are devoted to giving back to the communities we call home by supporting local organizations. With our ongoing charitable initiatives in the Lake of the Ozarks we are partnering with the community to help strengthen public safety, education, children’s services, and support for veterans,” said Kimberly PearsonCEO of Osage Casinos

This is the fifth round of charitable donations from Osage Nation. Organizations receiving support during this most recent round include:

  • Miller County Sheriff; $15,000
  • School of the Osage Foundation; $10,000
  • American Legion Post 229; $5,000
  • Camden County Ag and Youth Enrichment; $5,000
  • Changing Table (Lake Area Diaper Bank); $5,000
  • Citizens Against Domestic Violence; $5,000
  • Heroes Outreach; $5,000
  • Al Whitaker VFW Post 6513; $5,000

To date, the Osage Nation has made $396,056.14 in charitable donations.
