The City of Osage Beach continues its search for a couple key positions.
One of those positions, according to Mayor Michael Harmison, would weigh the benefits of having an in-house engineer within city hall rather than using an outside firm.
Harmison says he does have one candidate in mind and that it’ll be up to the board of aldermen for final approval.
“The engineer is an appointed position. And, we had an applicant we interviewed a week ago. Very impressive applicant. And I have appointed him….and that’s one of the things we’ll be talking about, and if all things go as planned….we should have a city engineer within the next 30 days.”
With Harmison in a position to break a tie vote, it’ll take three aldermen to approve of his appointment which could be a topic during an expected executive session when the board of aldermen meets up for a regular meeting on Thursday of this week.
