One Injured In DWI Related Crash Near Eagle Drive

One person is seriously hurt late Monday afternoon in a one-vehicle accident on Route-HH at Eagle Drive in Camden County.

The highway patrol says a pick-up driven by a 62-year-old Des Peres man crossed over the center, returned back across sliding off the road and striking a trashcan enclosure before crossing back over again and off the opposite side before striking a telephone pole.

The man was flown to University Hospital.

He also faces pending charges of DWI-persistent and careless and imprudent driving.
