Motorcycle Rider Faces DWI Charges Following Chase Through Benton County

A 38-year-old from Pleasant Valley faces charges after leading a Benton County deputy on a high-speed pursuit which started on highway-7 in the Edwards area.

That’s according to the probable cause statement which alleges Brandon Hutchins refused to stop the motorcycle he was on leading the deputy onto northbound highway-65 where, along the way, Hutchins crossed over the center and drove onto the shoulder to get around other vehicles…reaching a speed of 105 miles-per-hour…before stopping at 65 and Main Street in Warsaw.

Hutchins also allegedly admitted to having been drinking but not knowing that law enforcement was behind him.

Hutchins is charged with felony resisting, DWI and other traffic offenses. Bond was set at $10,000.
