MO State Rep Working On Bill To Refund Some State Gas Tax Money

A Missouri State Representative is working on a bill to refund some of the Missouri State tax on gasoline to Missouri drivers and allow them to direct refunds to the charities of their choice.

State Representative Don Mayhew of Crocker represents Missouri District 24.

He’s been appointed Chairman of the House Transportation Accountability committee.

If passed his bill may not put money directly back in Missourians’ pockets but it will allow them to use those donated gas tax receipts as a deduction from their taxes.
