A Missouri man facing charges of child sex trafficking and travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct appeared in a St. Louis courtroom late last week entering a not guilty plea to the charges.
60-year-old Donald Eugene Fields, the second, had been added to the FBI’s top-10 most wanted list and was on the run for three years before being captured in late January without incident after a traffic stop in Lady Lake, Florida.
At one point during his run from authorities, Fields was believed to have been in the Stover area in Morgan County.
A co-defendant in the child sex trafficking, 64-year-old Theodore Sartori, Senior, was sentenced in November to 10 years in federal prison.
