A quick response time is being credited with keeping damage to a minimum after a reported condo fire in Lake Ozark.
Deputy Chief David Woodward says the initial call was reported shortly before 9:00 Wednesday night as a commercial structure fire at the Emerald Bay Condominiums off the Horseshoe Bend Parkway.
“Luckily, our battalion chief got there quickly, was able to locate the residents in question, saw smoke coming from the address and got the guys in right away. Got water on the fire quickly, and contained everything with very, very minimal damage.”
A blanket left on top of a light fixture is blamed for the small fire.
There was nobody in the condo and no injuries reported.
Assisting at the scene were personnel from Osage Beach and Sunrise Beach while Rocky Mount, Eldon and Mid-County were cancelled enroute.
