Mailhack Road Re-opened – No Word As To Cause Of Sinkhole

The Camden County Road and Bridge department spent most of the day, on Friday, trying to make a part of Mailhack Road, off J-highway, safe for traffic again.

A section of Mailhack was closed off on Thursday when a sinkhole opened up taking with it some of the roadway.

Those who normally use the road were re-routed around the trouble spot.

One measurement showed the sinkhole to be about 18-feet in diameter.

There was no apparent reason given for the sinkhole and, as of late Friday, the repairs were reported as complete and the roadway was re-opened to traffic.
