Lake Area Coming Out Of Worst Drought Conditions Thanks To Recent Rains

The lake area is showing signs of significant improvement when it comes to the just released U.S. Drought Monitor for the State of Missouri.

The report this week shows just the north and eastern reaches of Morgan and Miller counties still in the extreme drought category.

Following several rounds and inches of rainfall over the past week, the rest of the lake area, including Benton County, is now in the severe drought category.
