The Missouri State Highway Patrol is putting the call out for a few good men, or women, who may be interested in a career in law enforcement.
“Patrol in general, we’re looking for people who definitely have an interest in law enforcement. They’re capable of multitasking and reasonable thinking. Just kind of normal stuff. We’re always taking applications for Trooper” says Corporal Brian Geier.
He says the patrol is offering a new accelerated training program for candidates already with law enforcement experience…“Somebody with at least three years experience as a fulltime police officer in Missouri can apply for that. And it starts the same time as our normal academy. And after about a month or so, they kind of break off and do accelerated portions. So it’s about 15 weeks versus 25.”
The next round of testing will begin in a few months with the next academy to begin in early 2024.
