Highway Patrol Investigating Inmate Death in Miller County

An investigation is underway looking into the cause of death of a Miller County inmate.

Sheriff Louie Gregoire says that jail personnel discovered 52-year-old Daniel Ault, of Brumley, Friday morning. Ault was being held without bond at the time on charges of failing to register as an offender and possession of child porn. Ault’s body was taken to Columbia for an autopsy.

The investigation was turned over to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control.
