Frost And Ice Cause Wrecks On Monday Across The Lake

Apparent frost and icy conditions are being partly blamed after at least a couple of traffic accidents this morning in the lake area.

Although no official details have been released, motorists encountered delays after reported accidents on, both, the Niangua and Hurricane Deck bridges.

There was also an accident along 54 near the business park in Linn Creek.

The accidents are prompting a reminder from the highway patrol to use extra caution this time of the year especially when driving over bridges which tend to freeze up and, all too often, translate to unexpected surprises.

Preliminary reports on the accidents did not indicate that there were any injuries involved.
