You call because of an emergency and expect first responders to arrive.
But in the case of inclement weather, sometimes the responses are delayed as was the case Monday afternoon to a house fire in Linn Creek.
“All weather leave, you know, it’s an additional component that you deal with, you know, whether it be heat or ice and, and ice in particular certainly can cause problems getting there and not only getting there, but then you’d be surprised. We we actually got really lucky, didn’t have any slips and falls” says Osage Beach Fire Chief Joe Berardi, “and our response to the fire on Winterwood Loop took about 10 minutes longer than average because of the ice. Having to shuttle in water was also an issue.”
Osage Beach received mutual aid on the scene from Mid-County and Lake Ozark fire, Mercy E-M-S and Ameren while Sunrise Beach Fire provided coverage for Osage Beach.
A cause of the fire has not officially been released.
