Fire Damages Barnett Area House

Moderate damage is reported after fire breaks out in a home near the intersection of Route-52 and double-A in Morgan County.

Moreau Chief Mike McNeill says the initial call was received around 6:45 Monday morning with the caller indicating that the circuit breaker box was crackling and smoking.

Personnel from Eldon, Versailles Rural and Rocky Mount also responded and were on the scene for about two hours. There were no injuries but the residents are likely, at least, temporarily displaced.
