Delays To Start Soon On Toll Bridge Removal Project

Motorists could start to see some delays when taking Route-MM connecting Lake Ozark and Sunrise Beach.

That’s according to MoDOT Central District Area Engineer Danny Roeger who now says the toll booth demolition project, weather permitting, will be starting this week but without the previously mentioned full closures expected.

“So there’s a little bit of confusion and over the last few weeks. I’ve talked about the full closure scheduled for mid March….There will be intermediate lane closures with flagging operations through that tollbooth area over the the life of the project and just as needed as that contractors working through there.”

Roeger also says, while there will not be extended full lane closures, motorists are still encouraged to give themselves some extra travel time when using MM during the work.

“In lieu, we are going to allow the contractor to utilize temporary signals. So there will be some stoplights controlling traffic. So it’ll be two way travel in A1 lane condition.”

The overall project is expected to be finished in early-to-mid May.
