Bill In Missouri House Could Provide Sales Tax Exemption For Medical Devices

A House Bill currently under consideration in the state capitol could soon provide a sales tax exemption for certain medical devices.

Sponsor Dr. Lisa Thomas, from the 123rd district, says the measure…if signed into law…would eliminate sales tax for devices that use electric fields for the treatment of cancer, components and repair parts, and single use supplies used by cancer patients.

To date, the bill was heard in a public hearing and executive session before being voted do-pass.

The bill has not, however, been sent over yet to the Senate for its consideration.
