Ameren Looking At Another Rate Increase For Electric Customers

If Ameren Missouri gets its way, residential customers could soon be digging a little deeper to pay for electric.

The Missouri Public Service Commission has announced a series of public hearings to allow for comments on the rate-hike case in which Ameren is asking for an increase of about 15.49 percent, or $446-million, which translates to about 15.77 percent, or $17.45 per month, for the average residential customer.

The public hearing schedule begins on January 21^st in Cape Girardeau with other hearings to be held in St. Charles, St. Louis, Jefferson City and Sunset Hills.
