Ameren Files Request For Rate Increase With PSC

Ameren is filing a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission to adjust their electric base rates.

If approved, millions of Ameren Missouri customers could see an increase in their monthly bill by 2025.

Officials say the proposed increase would cost customers an additional $17 per month for those using 1,011 kilowatt hours of electricity.

Ameren says the rate increase is going towards ensuring cleaner electricity and strengthening the grid, by replacing aging infrastructure and adding new automation.

The deadline to intervene in this case has been set for July 22^nd.
