AI Use For Businesses On The Rise Across The Show Me State

The use of artificial intelligence in Missouri may not be widespread yet, but it is growing.

That’s according to the Missouri Economic Research and Information Center which says, in a May-2024 survey, 89-percent of Missouri businesses reported not using A-I.

Another 5-percent were unsure and 6.1 percent did claim to use A-I, slightly more than the 5.7 percent U.S. average.

The research and information center also reported while the percentage of firms in the survey using A-I is small, the level is still nearly double the share of Missouri businesses that reported using A-I a year earlier.

8.4 percent of Missouri firms expect to adopt A-I within the next six months with market automation, chatbox assistance, natural language processing and data analytics as the top uses.
