Accident Sends 5 People To The ER

A two-vehicle accident on Missouri-52 east of Jefferson Street in Morgan County sends five people to the emergency rooms.

The highway patrol says it happened late Saturday morning when the vehicle driven by 38-year-old Brandlee Stilfield, of Barnett, hit a stopped vehicle from behind driven by 76-year-old James Lutz, of Tipton.

Lutz suffered minor injuries while Stilfield suffered moderate injuries.

Three juveniles in the Stilfield vehicle, all from Barnett, were also injured…one seriously.

All five had been wearing seat belts and were taken to Lake Regional and St. Marys hospitals.
