Camden County K9 Deputy Dead After Getting Hit by a Vehicle

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office has announced the death of its K-9 deputy.

Colonel Scott Hines says that Deputy Shadow, handled by partner Deputy Dylan Rice, was hit by a motor vehicle while conducting routine training near their home Sunday evening.

Shadow joined the ranks of the sheriff’s office in 2023 with the dual purpose in tracking and narcotics detection.

A private memorial service on a future date is being planned for Deputy K-9 Shadow.
