The Missouri Senate Local Government, Elections and Pensions Committee hears Senate Bill 217, legislation that seeks to modify provisions relating to foreign ownership of agricultural land.
Senator Rusty Black of Chillicothe is the sponsor.

“Since its enactment in 2013, this law has divided the agriculture community and it’s caused a distrust between the people and their government.“
Committee action has not yet been taken on Senate Bill 217.
At the same time, the Missouri Senate Transportation, Infrastructure and Public Safety Committee hears Senate Bill 41.
Senator Angela Walton Mosley of Florissant is the sponsor.
She tells the panel her proposal would create the CTF Medical Alert System…
“Defined as a person, including a child, who is missing under unexplained, involuntary and suspicious circumstances.”
Senate Bill 41 also awaits a committee vote.
