A lake area residential summer camp for disabled persons is in the homestretch of an ambitious capital campaign to make their facility bigger and better than ever for the more-than-one-thousand visitors each year.
Wonderland Camp in the Rocky Mount area is nearing the end of the $1,000,000 campaign.
That’s according to Mike Clayton, Director of Fund Development and Communications, who says a challenge grant being pursued could push the camp well over its goal.
“If we raise $180,000 by May 1st, maybe foundation will give us $200,000. And right now as the over the past couple of months, we’ve had this big push, we’re down to needing South of $50,000.”
Funding from the capital campaign is earmarked to finish renovations and updates of Miller Hall. More details about the capital campaign and Wonderland Camp, in general, is available online.
