Drought conditions are starting to creep back into the headlines across a large part of the Ozarks.
Over the past week, most of Lake of Ozarks was considered to be in the severe drought category. With about an inch of rain over that time, most of the lake area…Camden, Miller, Morgan and Benton…are now considered to be in the moderate category with small areas in the southeast part of the lake area now considered to be in the abnormally dry category.
By comparison, the southeastern quarter of the state with a streak extending into northwest Missouri was reported, as of the 19th of this month, as free from drought concerns.
