Miller County Woman Now Joins Independence Man In Facing Charges For Drugs

An Independence man is sentenced to 19 years in a federal prison without parole bringing to an end his case which started in October-2021.

Following a warrant search of Jonathan Henik’s residence…which uncovered a large quantity of firearms, methamphetamine, marijuana, mushrooms and other illegal drugs…more of the same was uncovered in August-2023 from two campers which had been under surveillance in Bagnell, in Miller County.

A co-defendant, Cherie Henik, was also arrested as a result of the joint investigation between the Mid-Missouri and Jackson County drug task forces. She was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.

Her case continues in Miller County with a pre-trial conference set for mid-November
