A former Laquey teacher accused of having sexual contact with a student will be sentenced in October after entering a negotiated guilty plea in Pulaski County Circuit Court.

Hailey Clifton Carmack was originally charged with felonies for endangering the welfare of a child-sexual conduct, statutory rape, sexual contact with a student and child molestation with a victim under the age of 17, along with seven misdemeanor counts of furnishing pornographic material to a minor.

Clifton-Carmack’s plea, on Friday, was to the sexual contact with a student charge.

Court documents had alleged that Clifton-Carmack left Missouri in December before being picked up in Garden Ridge, Texas, just a day after being formally charged in the case, and then being extradited back to Missouri.

Clifton-Carmack has been placed on house arrest until her sentencing.
