MODOT Kicking Off Another Round Of Mowing Across Area Roadways

Motorists around the lake area are being given a heads up to watch for mowing operations being conducted by MoDOT crews.

That’s according to Central District Area Engineer Danny Roeger who says, following the holiday, the mowing season is now in full force which means motorists need to be careful especially on some of our roadways.

“So if you see a follow truck, or a protective vehicle…please slow down…move over, do what you can to give them some room…just pay attention. The tractors will be in and out of traffic, especially with the topography we are faced here in the Ozarks…the steep slopes and the ditches.”

Roeger goes on to say that you also have to be on the lookout for wildlife, especially deer, which remain active.
