Updated Arrest List As Of Sunday Shows 24 Arrests For Drinking & Driving

At least 24 people were arrested by the highway patrol in the lake area over the long July 4^th holiday counting period…19 of them alcohol related.

With just a few hours left in the counting period on Sunday, the highway patrol was reporting 13 DWI’s and 6 BWI’s in the lake area.

The other arrests included two people for possession of a controlled substance, one for leaving the scene of an accident, one driving revoked and one for not having a motorcycle endorsement.

The official counting period started at 6:00 this past Wednesday night and ended at 11:59 Sunday night.

Final numbers are expected to be released by the highway patrol later today.
