How does Missouri rank when it comes to the best and worst states for the arts…?
Not too well according to personal finance website WalletHub.com.
WalletHub used 16 key metrics ranging from the share of residents who attend art events to the average salary of artists and the quality of graduate arts programs.
When the numbers were crunched together, Missouri ranked 33rd for access to the arts, 22nd for artists economy and personal finances and 34th for arts education for an overall ranking of number-32.
Arkansas, Alabama and Mississippi were ranked as the worst states when it comes to the arts while Oregon and Washington were close behind New York which is identified as the best state for the arts.
