Teen Dies After Trying To Swim Across Clarence Lake In Shelby County Missouri

A teenager from Shelbina is dead after attempting to swim across Clarence Lake Sunday afternoon in Shelby County.

The water patrol division of the highway patrol says 18-year-old Gabriel Parker became fatigued and went under the water.

Other nearby swimmers attempted to rescue Parker but were unsuccessful.

A dive team was able to recover the teenagers body a little over an hour later.
