LOTO Stop Human Trafficking Coalition Still Looking For People To Help Fight Back

The Lake of the Ozarks Stop Human Trafficking Coalition continues looking for a several good men and women to jump on the bandwagon trying to fight back against the trafficking problem which is described as “very real” here at the lake.

“What we do is, we give aid to survivors of human trafficking….and we also provide training and we raise awareness of human trafficking in our communities,” says coalition member Stacy Ochs, “That trafficking comes in many forms…labor, sexual and others.”

Currently, the LOTO Stop Human Trafficking Coalition has around 30 volunteers but, according to Ochs, many more are needed because there’s no rhyme or reason as to where the problem will rear its ugly head….“It’s in the smallest communities, it’s in the rural areas…it could be in your own home.”

More information is available on the coalition’s social media page.
