Missouri Sees Amazing View Of Aurora Due To Solar Flares

By now you’ve probably heard about the gigantic solar flare heading toward earth and the possibility that radio signals, satellites, GPS’s and other technologies could be affected…which spikes on Friday and Saturday.

Here in the lake area, local law enforcement is taking the position of hoping for the best but also being prepared for the worst-case scenarios and having to resort to back-up systems.

The sheriff’s offices are also asking the public, in advance, for patience if radio communications and cellphone and other services are affected.

Officials from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have even issued one of the most severe advisories since 2005 about the possibility which, worst case scenario, could result in the power grid going down.
