Power Outages Affecting Several Areas Across The Lake As Strong Storms Move Through

A wild night of severe weather as storms raced across the Lake Area, bringing Tornadoes, 70 mile an hour winds, some hail and numerous power outages.

Storms started moving into the area just after midnight and they kept up until 3am, with 6 tornado warnings hitting the Lake Region in Dallas, Hickory, Pettis, Maries, Pulaski and Benton Counties.

So far there haven’t been any reports of an actual touchdown, however the damaging winds were enough to cause more than 4,000 people to lose power between the electric cooperatives, Ameren and Evergy.

The majority of the outages occurring in Benton, Dallas, Morgan and Pulaski Counties with Power Restoration still underway.

Severe storms hitting the Lake Area early Tuesday morning….bringing with it 60 to 70MPH winds.

The storms also packing a punch with lots of lighting and possible spin up tornadoes.

As of 130AM, over 1,000 people are without power.

This includes 1500 in Benton and over 450 in Morgan County…nearly 700 of which are with COMO Electric, with over 1,000 with Evergy.
