***UPDATE:
A traffic stop comes to an end with a Barnett man being charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
The probable cause statement filed in Miller County indicates that a highway patrol trooper caught up to a vehicle which apparently had a cabinet fall from its load before the vehicle turned off into the Menards parking lot.
The trooper then set up to stop the vehicle along the parkway contacting the driver, 40-year-old Boone Bax, who denied consent for a search of the vehicle. A Lake Ozark drug K-9 was then brought to the scene for a sniff search which resulted in a positive alert and, ultimately, the discovery of a quantity of suboxone packages in the center console area.
Bax was taken to the Miller County Jail and, apparently, released after a 24-hour hold came to an end. Since then, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Bax with a $25,000 bond attached to it.
