Driver Attempting To Avoid A Deer Ends Up In The ER

Swerving to miss a deer in the roadway sends a pick-up truck off the road striking a tree and the driver to the emergency room in Morgan County.

The highway patrol says it happened shortly before 6:30 Sunday morning on Route-J near Reds Way.

20-year-old Austin Black suffered minor injuries and was treated at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Black was wearing a seat belt at the time.
