Warsaw Man Charged with Attacking Another Man with a Sickle

A 42-year-old man from Warsaw is being held in the Benton County Jail after using a sickle to seriously injure another person he was trying to force out of a residence.

The probable cause statement alleges that Todd Timothy Baker entered the residence striking the victim who was sitting in a chair in the head, arms and body causing severe deep lacerations and gaping wounds. The unidentified victim had to be life-flighted from the scene.

Baker has since been formally charged with first-degree assault or attempt causing serious physical injury and armed criminal action…both are felonies. His bond was set at $150,000.
