Osage Beach Police Officer Injured in DWI Crash Near Grand Glaize Bridge, One Arrested

A 41-year-old Russellville man faces several pending charges after an early-Friday morning incident which came to an end with the vehicle he was driving colliding head-on with an Osage Beach police officer.

Lieutenant Michael O’Day says the initial call came in reporting an erratic driver in the area of 42 and the parkway.

The erratic driver was then encountered driving westbound in the eastbound lanes near the Grand Glaize Bridge by a city officer.

The officer activated his emergency lights but the driver failed to stop colliding with the officer who was treated at Lake Regional for apparent minor injuries.

Jesse Koenigsfeld refused treatment at the scene and was taken to the Camden County Jail.

He was put on a 24-hour hold and has been formally charged with DWI-physical injury to law enforcement.
