Fire Destroys Mountain Grove Church Over The Weekend

Parishioners of the Southside Baptist Church in Mountain Grove, in Wright County, are at a loss after fire destroys the church over the weekend.

The Mountain Grove Fire Department says the call was received early Saturday evening and, upon arrival, flames were already venting from the roof.

It took firefighters about nine hours to put the blaze out with mutual aid provided at the scene by several area departments.

Local and federal authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
